Time out
I’m putting the blog on hiatus for the remainder of 2011.
I have some other things I need to attend to, and the relatively slow news period between elections and legislative sessions seems the right time. I’ll still be writing my Volcanic Ash and flASHback columns in the Star-Advertiser.

Thanks, Dave, for the service you have been providing with your commentaries over the years. Take care of those other matters and hurry back.
You probably hadn’t noticed, but I sometimes disagreed with you. But your blog has provided one of the best opportunities for a frank, usually civil, exchange of ideas on political and social issues.

When it comes to informed opinions, Dave has been the most reliable. One of the few folks who knows Big Island history and how it fits into Oahu centric picture.
